Introduction This Gardener's Friend - Brief Primer for the Home Vegetable Gardener was written and included in response to the beta release of my HyperCard Stack Gardener's Friend in 1990. The stack is an automated vegetable garden planner and scheduler that also allows one to track results and calculate yields. It was so easy to use that I believed there would be new gardeners that would begin using the product who would need additional assistance on gardening techniques, etc. The purpose of publishing this primer on the internet is twofold. First, I anticipate generating some interest in gardening and secondly, I hope to identify technician(s) that would be interested in using my HyperCard stack as a prototype and converting it to a commercially viable product using conventional programming. I plan to continue testing version 2.0 of the Gardener's Friend HyperCard Stack and plan to release it as shareware to anyone that is still using a Macintosh with a HyperCard player. Simply email me and we can arrange getting a copy out to you. In the meantime, please contact me with any gardening tips, techniques, etc that you believe would be useful to an automated garden planning system or also if you have interest in such a system. It would be appreciated. bill@haggo.com |
